Santevia Shower Filter

A gentler shower experience, with a filter housing you don't have to throw away every two months. The Santevia Shower Filter is designed to reduce chlorine in shower water while adding magnesium.

Its filtration system reduces chlorine, while the microfilter traps suspended particles such as rust and sediment. The mineral media adds magnesium back into the water.

One of its key eco-conscious features is its reusable aluminum housing. Every two months, simply replace the filtration media and microfilter instead of replacing the entire filter.

The filter is compatible with North American plumbing standards and features a ½-inch NPT thread. It is also designed not to affect shower water pressure.

What's included

• 1 Santevia Shower Filter
• First pack of filtration media
• 1 microfilter
• Plumber's tape

An adjustable wrench may be required for installation and is not included.

How to install and maintain it

Before installation, open the filter and pour the filtration media into the cartridge. Close the cartridge and hold it under the bathroom faucet for 30 seconds or until the water runs clear.

Place the microfilter at the bottom of the cartridge, then insert the cartridge into the filter.

Unscrew the shower head, apply two layers of plumber's tape to the wall pipe threads and screw on the filter. Apply two layers of plumber's tape to the filter threads before reinstalling the shower head.

Run the shower and check for leaks. Add more plumber's tape if necessary.

Replace the filtration media and microfilter every 2 months.

If sediment builds up on the microfilter and reduces water flow, open the cartridge and rinse the microfilter to restore normal flow.

What I especially like is the refillable design. Every two months, there's no need to replace the entire housing, you simply change the filtration components. My little trick is to set a reminder on your phone right away for the next refill. Two months can fly by surprisingly fast!
